Saint James Hotel

If you want to feel like a duchess, there is nothing like the Saint James hotel in Paris. Located in the very chic 16th district, the St James Hotel is the only chateau-hotel of the capital. This exceptional building has been redesigned by Parisian dream-maker Bambi Sloan, who has managed to combine spectacular grandness with a warm and homely feel. Its original and elegant wallpapers are one of its key features, providing this hotel with a unique soul. This hotel will make you feel like home, that is of course if your home is a castle!

Kube

The Kube hotel is all about perfectly orchestrated contrasts. The building combines a classic Parisian Haussmanian facade with a plexiglass cube which hosts the reception. Cosy fireplaces are paired with icy looking furniture. This contemporary hotel offers designer rooms at affordable prices and is located in a quiet street near Montmartre... great for a weekend break and design lovers.

Eat

Maison Blanche

If you want to have a wonderful meal while enjoying one of the best views of Paris, you should definitely eat at the Maison Blanche. The fabulous terrace has recently been re-designed by one of Philip Starck's top apprentices, Imaad Rahmouni. But the view is not the only great thing about this place, it also offers refined French cuisine based on the five senses principle of the Pourcel brothers. The restaurant which is located in the luxurious avenue Montaigne, is a treat for all senses...

Jardin du Petit Palais

The Jardin du Petit Palais is the perfect place to enjoy afternoon tea after a visit to the museum and its various art exhibitions. This pittoresque  garden café is a gem hidden in the heart of the Petit Palais museum. It's a great place to escape from the busy city centre while enjoying some very interesting teas...

Cristal Room Baccarat

Located at the exceptional former mansion of Marie-Laure de Noailles, the entire house was redecorated by Philippe Starck, who created an eclectic and magical atmosphere. The main room is a harmonious blend of materials, where raw exposed brick walls are coupled with exquisite objects such as the spectacular Baccarat chandeliers. We recommend visiting the Baccarat museum before enjoying a delicious dinner with refined and innovative French dishes at the restaurant.

Le Grand Restaurant

A creative outlet for chef Jean-Francois Piege, this modern luxurious take on French cuisine is a treat for all the senses. Although his dishes are unique, sometimes playful, he stays true to classic French technique. The dish not to miss seems to be the podium of cheese, which is exactly as it sounds.

Arts Decoratifs Museum

Paris offers a wonderful array of renowned museums such as the Louvre, the Grand Palais and Orsay. If you have already visited those and are looking for something special, we recommend the Arts Decoratifs museum behind the Louvre for its remarkable fashion exhibitions (Hussein Chalayan, Madeleine Vionnet and many others) and its art bookshop. We also like the Jeu de Paume museum near the Place de la Concorde to admire great photography works...

Place des Vosges

It's hard to stay inside when the sun is shining, so if you're visiting in warmer months outdoor activities are a must. Place des Vosges is eye wateringly beautiful and provides the perfect backdrop for your holiday pictures. Relax in the square until you get hungry and then take advantage of the wide number of bars and restaurants surrounding you. Still too nice to head inside? Pack a picnic and enjoy every last ray of sunshine.

Shop

Astier de Villatte

Astier de Villatte, located in the very chic rue Saint Honore, it's one of our favourite shops in Paris. The unique lifestyle store offers 18th-19th century inspired handmade ceramics, candles, stationary, refined perfumes, vintage style furniture and the only hand-typeset agenda in the world. One of our favourite things are their note books made with striking geometric prints... we could cover the walls with them!

Secret Paris

Ile Saint Louis

Located in the heart of Paris, the Ile Saint Louis is a peaceful oasis on the Seine River. It's the perfect place to get lost in its fascinating narrow streets and admire typical Parisian architecture. It's in this charming residential island that you will find the best ice creams of the city at Berthillon, which is always a plus. It also offers a few interesting traditional French cafés, restaurants and boutiques.
