Questions

Which DeMellier bags do you treasure?

I love my New York in taupe suede. It has just the right amount of “slouch” whilst still retaining its structure and always looking smart. You can get an awful lot in it for a small bag which is another big plus. I also have my eye on the Berlin – maybe it’s because I was born there – for this autumn.

What are your work wardrobe gems?

Black skinny jeans from MiH or Zara, black suede heels from JCrew and cream silk tops from Maje or Sandro. I am also a big fan of Me+Em for shirts and am rarely without my black leather jacket, also a Zara steal…

Which beauty product can't you live without?

For make-up, anything from By Terry. Terry de Gunzberg is the French make-up genius who invented Touche Eclat and her own brand is amazing. For skincare, I am a devotee of Avène and Joelle Ciocco which I buy from a wonderful French beauty site called Oh My Cream.

What's your top travel tip?
Eat

I love to cook so I would probably say find a market, buy local produce and cook it! I recently went to a beautiful village in Sardinia called Cala Gonone where I ate my body weight in spaghetti alla bottarga. Oliveto in Elizabeth Street in London does an excellent version! Their pane carasau with olive oil, salt and rosemary is also incredible.

Stay

The Almhof Schneider in Lech in Austria.

See

I am a big people watcher so when I am travelling I like to sit in a café in the morning with a coffee and just watch the world go by.

What's your top exercise tip (if any)?

Walk everywhere. Except when stressed. Then run.

What book would you most recommend?

Brideshead Revisited is a bit of an obsession. I must have read it 20 times. My grandmother gave me a first edition for my 21st birthday and it is by my bed.

How did you get to where you are today?

A lot of imagination, hard work and being nice to people. As an ex-lawyer I had no real web experience when I started so I needed all the help I could get! Maison St Honoré has been all about people. I met my business partner Alex nearly five years ago and we kept running into each other until one day the timing was right and we dreamed up the idea of a niche creative agency which we now run out of Paris and London. We are surrounded by an incredible creative family and have worked on some great projects – and it’s still really only the beginning.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?

Courage is only an accumulation of small steps. By my father, courtesy of George Konrad.

If you didn't do what you do now, what would you be doing?

I have an idea a week but I am very happy where I am. The best thing about our business is that we get to put lots of ideas into practice for our clients.

And finally, tell us something people don't know about you...

I worked as a chef for Sam Clark of Moro fame for one year and bar the burn marks that I still have on my wrists, it was one of the best jobs I have ever had.
