Beyond creating handbags, DeMellier’s mission is to be a force of positive influence in the fashion industry.
7 women, 7 causes is a not-for-profit collaboration between DeMellier’s founder Mireia Llusia-Lindh and 6 talented, inspiring women: Oumayma Elboumeshouli, Angela Fink, Fong Min Liao, Natasha Ndlovu, Tania Sarin and Christie Tyler. They have joined their creative forces to raise awareness and funds for 7 causes that are very close to their hearts. Together with DeMellier, they co-designed a not-for-profit capsule collection of 7 elevated tote bags, each one supporting the charity selected by the woman who designed it and featuring the word evoking the cause they champion.

100% of the profits made from the sale of the 7 women, 7 causes tote bags are donated to the chosen charities: War Child, No More Plastic, PEERS, The Black Curriculum, #HashtagLunchbag, Malala Fund and SOS Children’s Villages. This is an entirely not-for-profit collaboration between DeMellier and the 7 women involved.
Like the rest of the DeMellier collection, the 7 women, 7 causes tote bags are produced ethically and sustainably. The leather is sourced from a leading Italian tannery awarded Gold rating by the European Leather Group and the canvas is made in Spain using organic cotton. The bags are handcrafted in DeMellier’s trusted family-owned factory in South of Spain following the strictest EU regulations.
Helping children in war, co-designed by Oumayma Elboumeshouli to support War Child.
Oumayma is an art director and photographer based in Amsterdam, Marrakech and Dubai. She supports War Child, an international NGO that works to protect and educate hundreds of thousands of children affected by violence and armed conflict in Africa, Europe, Latin America and Asia - and to promote their mental health and psychosocial wellbeing.
100% of the profits from the sale of the PEACE tote are donated to War Child Holland.
Fighting plastic pollution, co-designed by Angela Fink to support No More Plastic Foundation.
Angela is a creative director and co-founder of LA-based agency Dumont. Inspired by nature and what the Earth offers, Angela champions environmental protection and fights the use of plastic by supporting No More Plastic, a non-profit Foundation that generates awareness about plastic pollution and supports the development of solutions that will help end the cycle of single-use plastics to reinvent the future of consumption.
100% of the profits from the sale of the EARTH tote are donated to No More Plastic.
Supporting mental health, co-designed by Fong Min Liao to support PEERS.
Fong Min is a Chinese-American artist known for the bold, organic shapes she paints, inspired by her interest in psychology, emotional intelligence and beauty. She supports PEERS, a community-based mental health organization run by and for people with lived experience of mental health conditions. PEERS provide free resources and support to anyone in need, regardless of who they are or what they’ve experienced.
100% of the profits from the sale of the SOUL tote are donated to PEERS.
Teaching Black History, co-designed by Natasha Ndlovu to support The Black Curriculum.
Natasha is a Zimbabwean-British model turned photographer, entrepreneur and inclusive beauty activist. She supports The Black Curriculum, a social enterprise that addresses the lack of Black British history in the UK Curriculum. Their programs aim to equip young people with a sense of identity and the tools for a diverse landscape to facilitate social change.

Feeding the Hungry, co-designed by Tania Sarin to support #HashtagLunchbag.
Tania is an Armenian-American fashion stylist turned digital creator, designer and philanthropist. She supports #HashtagLunchbag, a service movement that makes and distributes lunches to those who need it most, seeing lunchbags as a vessel to spread love and inspire humanity to reap the benefits of giving through the use of social media.

Educating All Girls. co-designed by Christie Tyler to support Malala Fund.
Christie is a NY-based photographer and art director. A recent Fashion school graduate having worked a full time job alongside her studies, she supports Malala Fund which helps break down the barriers preventing more than 130 million girls around the world from going to school. The organisation founded by Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai is fighting to give all girls the opportunity to learn and lead.

Saving Children's Lives, designed by Mireia Llusia-Lindh to support SOS Children's Villages.
Mireia is the founder and creative director of DeMellier. As a mother of three, aunt and godmother, Mireia decided to support SOS Children’s Villages through A Bag, A Life, DeMellier’s permanent charity initiative that funds lifesaving vaccines and medical treatments aimed to save the lives of children in need.
